As soon as they arrived, visitors were greeted in the language of Expo.02: signage. The first new buildings were already waiting for them at the railway station. These gave a foretaste of the national exhibition and offered protection while waiting. Flags and directional ribbons in the Expo.02 colours were displayed in the stations. Arrows printed on these supports playfully guided visitors to the paths leading to the Artplages.
