| Concept | They came down from their mountains with hand organs or mixers under their arms, yodelling on their lips and free jazz in their hearts. More than 2'400 people from the cantons of Lucerne, Zug, Obwalden, Nidwalden, Uri and Schwyz took part in an overall staging consisting of around 80 cultural projects. They approached the Arteplage and the town of Yverdon-les-Bains at dawn, at 05:30, on foot, in small steamboats or rowing boats and enlivened the Arteplage and the town of Yverdon-les-Bains with grotesque figures from history or our own time until late into the night. Unusual spaces were filled with music, theatre, customs, literature and films. | |
