The Expo.02 trademarks (logo, architectural icons, etc.) were assigned to third parties for commercial and promotional use on their products or services. In return, Expo.02 participated in a guaranteed sum and a turnover-based share of sales.

A total of 81 licencees produced over 300 products from a wide variety of sectors. Product development and design were carried out by the licencees in collaboration with Expo.02, which developed five design lines. All products were approved by Expo.02 and had to comply with the Expo.02 Environmental and Social Charter.
