The MobiCat, the world's largest solar boat, was also part of the conventional transport options offered by CIM.02 Biel-Bienne. The MobiCat awaited interested visitors in the immediate vicinity of the Arteplage Biel-Bienne and only 600 metres from the railway station. Reservations for groups were possible. The MobiCat was developed by BKW FMB Energie AG and financed by Mobiliar Insurance and other sponsors.
